Emergency Solutions Grant

ESG is a reformatted version of the former Emergency Shelter Grant, which was modified as a result of the Homeless Emergency and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act of 2009. The new formula grant program provides assistance to organizations serving persons experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

Accomplishments Achieved During Program Year 2018

  • 147 clients: Family Promise – $43,605.67 – Homeless Prevention
  • 136 clients: JBWS – $24,126.66 – Nights of Shelter
  • 89 clients: Homeless Solutions – $44,126.66 – Nights of Shelter
  • 15 clients: OTA – $7,100 – Nights of Shelter
  • 15 clients: Roots & WingsS – $32,481 – Rapid Rehousing / Aged-Out Foster Youth
  • 6 clients: Visions and Pathways – $5,000 – Rapid Rehousing / Street Outreach

Total ESG spending: $156,439.99 was spent during 7/1/18-6/30/19, and 408 clients were served.
