Emergency Solutions Grant

ESG is a reformatted version of the former Emergency Shelter Grant, which was modified as a result of the Homeless Emergency and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act of 2009. The new formula grant program provides assistance to organizations serving persons experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

Accomplishments Achieved During Program Year 2016

  • 93 clients: OTA – $63,018 – Low Income Assistance
  • 300 clients: Homeless Solutions – $70,000 – Emergency Shelter26 c
  • lients: JBWS – $15,000 – Nights of Shelter
  • 750 clients: Family Promise – $58,936 – Homeless Prevention
  • 16 clients: Roots and Wings – $64,468 – Housing Aged Out Foster Youth

Total ESG spending: $271,422 was spent during 7/1/16-6/30/17, and 1185 clients were served.
