Community Development Block Grant

The CDBG program is a competitive application process for towns and non-profits. Funding recommendations are made by a citizen advisory committee.

For Program 2016, the County received $1,501,236 in CDBG funding. CDBG funds target 4 major categories. Administrative and Homeowner Rehab Program costs are not included.

Improvements

  • 7 clients: Township of Randolph – $80,000 – VFW ADA Improvements
  • 3,250 clients: Borough of Netcong – $80,000 – Water Main Repair-Railroad Ave
  • 3,670 clients: Borough of Wharton – $79,785 – Water Main Repair-Church St.
  • 227 clients: Daytop Village – $80,000 – Lavatory Renovations-Group Home
  • 1310 clients: Borough of Butler – $80,000 – Water Main Repair-Manning Ave.

Total spending on Improvements: $399,785 was spent during 7/1/16-6/30/17, and 8,464 clients were served.


Services

  • 23 clients: Children on The Green – $30,000 – Low-Income Child Care Scholarships
  • 42 clients: Homeless Solutions – $50,000 – Low-Income Child Care Scholarships
  • 23 clients: Cedar Hill – $18,500 – Low Income Camp Scholarships
  • 145 clients: CASA – $50,000 – Case Supervisor
  • 18 clients: Deidre’s House – $40,000 – Clinical Counseling Program
