If you are over the age of 60, disabled or a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, you may be eligible for a variety of services listed within the Morris County Services and Programs for Seniors, Disabled and Veterans Service Directory. Additionally, the NJ Department of Health & Senior Services publishes Statewide Benefits for Older Persons as well as Federal Programs for Older Persons.

Many of the service programs are provided by the Morris County Division on Aging, Disabilities and Community Programming, State and County Agencies, and through private Foundations and Charities.  The Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Older Americans Act and the State of New Jersey are responsible for much of the funding for these programs.

The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and the Department of Human Services have established a “one-door” access to services that will help people age in place. In New Jersey, this is called the Aging & Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) guide and/or Area Agency on Aging (AAA).

By calling (800) 564-4656 or (877) 222-3737, individuals and caregivers can receive information on a variety of services designed to foster the independence and dignity of Morris County citizens in need of assistance.
